You’ll be part of a small, busy development team working on a range of projects that will include designing, developing, deploying and maintaining e-commerce web solutions and shaping the organisation’s web sites.
So you’ll have the opportunity to be involved in everything. That means participating in technical design meetings, maintaining and extending the existing system code base and increasing test coverage within the existing codebase – and much more.
That’s why we need an exceptional ASP.NET Developer with knowledge of C# 3/4 and development experience using Sitecore CMS. Someone with a good understanding of OO principles and Design Patterns and Agile development.
More than this, you’ll need to be an excellent communicator, with both technical and non-technical staff, and a whole-hearted team player. A fast learner, you’re not afraid to contribute fresh ideas, challenge the norm and champion positive change. An upbeat attitude and strong sense of humour will also serve you well.

Key Responsibilities
• Developing web sites and web services using the .NET 2.0 / 3.5 framework • Migration of Insight Vacations website to .NET-based platform • Engaging in code reviews with other developers in the team • Actively participating in technical design meetings • Providing technical assistance to service customers, both internally and externally. • Provision of technical documentation where required • Communication of acquired knowledge amongst other team members • Liaison with other related project team members to delivery integrated solutions
In addition, the successful candidate will be encouraged to:
• Assist with the definition of functional requirements • Analyse the consequences of proposed functional designs • Undertake re-factoring of the existing code base where required • Increase unit test coverage within existing code base
Essential Skills
• Minimum 4 years experience in an application development environment • Minimum 3 years experience developing using C# • Minimum 2 years development experience using ASP.NET • Experience of ‘Classic’ ASP • Solid understanding of OO principles, design patterns and re-factoring • Unit Testing • Excellent communication skills: a high level of spoken and written English • Team Player • Ability to work under pressure and be prepared to work extended hours if/when necessary at peak times during a project lifecycle • Enterprise CMS implementation (Analysis, design and development) • Moqing
