Leading IT consultancy in London is seeking a talented, permanent SCRUM Master /

Project Manager to join their world-class team available for an Immediate start. The role offers great

You must have excellent Project Management skills with experience of Project Managing web

solutions for external clients – ideally from a Web/Media/Digital Agency background.

 

The successful candidate will possess proven experience of working within large programmes of work

and can demonstrate a track record of involvement in complex projects, from project initiation through

to implementation.

 

SCRUM Master / Project Managers are expected to provide strong leadership and direction to project

teams, taking ownership for the development of project scope and implementation. As part of the role

the SCRUM Master / Project Manager is charged with ensuring clear lines of communication and

managing client expectations appropriately through all stages of delivery. The SCRUM Master /

Project Manager will work closely with the internal development teams and will have direct client

contact, so clear and concise communication skills are a must.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

 

. Provide strong leadership and direction to project teams, taking ownership for the

development of project scope and implementation Lead workshops with teams (including

sprint planning and retrospectives).

. Use experience of applying the principles of Agile, and in particular Scrum, to ensure that the

team constantly improve.

. Work with product and business owners and project teams to ensure that new products or

services are delivered to the appropriate levels of quality within the agreed sprint cycles.

. Integrate with and support the team to ensure the most effective and high quality delivery.

Maintain an accurate project release schedule clearly demonstrating the scheduled release

dates for project deliverables.

. Work within the organisation and client to smooth the path for the team and remove obstacles

that slow or prevent delivery of goals.

. Ensure that the appropriate agile metrics and artefacts are produced and communicated to

enable the team and product owner to make informed decisions.

. Input to the Agile templates and tools (JIRA). Work to improve Agile capability and foster

Agile knowledge throughout the organisation.

. Some travel within the UK and Europe.

 

Essential

 

. Have a passion for agile with experience of one or more Agile frameworks

. First class facilitation skills to enable the team to effectively plan each sprint and achieve

constructive retrospectives that lead to improved team performance.

. Effective leadership and motivation skills that create a constructive and supportive

environment and culture to enable the team to improve performance.

. Proven track record in the continued optimisation of the project release schedule to support

the frequent delivery of high quality releases.

. Excellent communication skills. Must be able to communicate at both a technical and non-

technical level. Must be able to use range of communication skills including presentation

skills.

. Effective problem solving and analytical skills to assist the team to identify and remove

obstacles.

. High-level understanding of software development practices and their impact on the quality of

delivery.

. Demonstrate empathy, common sense and pragmatism. Be able to relate to both business

and technology people.

. Take ownership and responsibility.

 

Preferred

 

. Experience in the use of JIRA – Agile Project Management software or equivalent

. Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, processes and tools.

. At least 5 years overall business experience.
